#TyphoonTino: Carpentry Tools

Ronnie & Jennifer Mangubat


Ronnie is a carpenter/ furniture maker by trade. Unfortunately his tools were destroyed in the flood.


Approximate Value: $1700


The donations not only helped to replace his missing tools, but they were able to start a new business selling food with a small grocery store attached.

Air Conditioner Repair Tools

Nilzon & Jody Lim


Nilzon is a teacher at Aparche Christian School and has a second job on the weekends and holidays installing and repairing air conditioners and an all around electrician.

 Unfortunately the floods destroyed his tools:


Approximate Value: $430


Nilzon was able to replace his tools with cordless ones making his work more proficient and easier to manage.

Melchor & Nida Flores


Melchor & Nida Flores' son, Kyron (in glasses), along with three other young men are being discipled by Brent. His family lost their appliances.

Approximate Value: $700


Nida is still working on repairing and replacing lost appliances.

Household Items


Kevin & Dixie Cantiga 


Kevin works at a call center as Dixie teaches at Aparche Christian School.  They lost most everything in their small apartment.

Kevin and Dixie have moved and replaced all the items they lost.

Replace Everything

Solly & John Rey Tepacia


(mother & adult son) John Rey works as an IT online specialist.  They lost most everything except his work computer and motorcycle.

Another challenge for John Rey was he lost his job in December shortly after the flood due to layoffs. We praise the Lord that he has found a new job and they are looking to move to a new apartment with all of their new items.

Kitchen Items

Gigi Mariquit



Gigi works as a household helper.  She lost her husband in 2021 and has 10 of her 11 children still living at home. In her community they were required to evacuate for their protection. She lost kitchen items and chairs. 


Approximate Value: $200


Gigi has slowly replaced the lost kitchen items and managed to fix some of the chairs damaged in flood. We praise God that she has opened her home to a weekly ladies' Bible study which now includes a Bible study for youth and a kids' club.

James & Bebing Magalona


James works in Singapore. Bebing and their two children (teenagers) swam to a neighbor's house to wait on their roof for rescue.

James has decided to return to Cebu to work and as he sets up several business ventures they are slowly repairing their home and replacing all that they lost.

Christian School

Aparche Christian School


Aparche Christian School's classrooms were flooded. We praise God that their school office was located on the second floor as all of their student records were there.


Approximate Value: $700


Aparche Christian School was able to open and continue in-person classes shortly after the clean-up. They were able to repair and replace most of what they lost.

Vehicle Repair

Charlie & Katrina Patosa


Charlie is a manager of a Christian-owned local auto parts store and Katrina is a public school teacher.

Their vehicle needs repair.

Not only were they able to get their car repaired a few months later (the delay was due to having to order parts on back order), but their mechanic gave them a gracious discount on his service! Praise the Lord!

Jhun & Honey Sottis


Honey works for the local government. 

They are in need of replacing clothes and household items.

George works for the city of Mandaue as a traffic enforcer. They need to replace basic household items including kitchen items.
